H2NEW Celebrates Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day Oct. 8

Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day is celebrated each year on 10/08. Why? Because hydrogen's atomic weight is 1.008.

A large group of H2NEW researchers pose for a photo on an auditorium stage.
Happy Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day from the low-temperature electrolysis researchers of H2NEW! Pictured are attendees at the semi-annual low-temperature electrolysis consortium meeting hosted at Argonne National Laboratory, September 11–13, 2023.

H2NEW joins the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in celebrating hydrogen and the role it plays in an equitable clean energy future. Learn more about how to celebrate Hydrogen Week with DOE.

Many of the H2NEW partners will be sharing updates related to H2NEW activities on their websites and on social media. We’ll compile and share those links here, so check back for more about how H2NEW research is enabling affordable, reliable, and efficient electrolyzers to achieve low‑cost clean hydrogen.
